Job Title: State Mandate Specialist

Department: Retail Support Operations

Reports To: National State Mandate Manager

FLSA Status: Regular Exempt

Preferably based in Ohio with some travel throughout OH and WV

 


ROLE SUMMARY:

Assist and support in efforts in data management and audit efforts that ensure Company ERP, POS, and State reporting platforms (Metrc, BioTrack, etc.) are in sync. Cross-reference data between systems to identify any sales or inventory inconsistencies to help determine efficient, compliant solutions for retail. Support retail teams in-store with situational inventory variance research as needed.

 


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review or update Retail inventory practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, State of operation regulations, or laws.
  • Assist in business system audits and assess appropriate corrective actions to mitigate audit discoveries.
  • Appraise manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
  • Implement new or improved data management practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as cultivation, product manufacturing, supply chain, and retail. purchasing, marketing, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify best practices in data reporting.
  • Participate in communication pathways that support the state of operation policies.
  • Document physical retail processes, such as inventory workflows, or system flows in coordination with Retail Operations and Profit Protection.
  • Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory.
  • Communicate with retail and other departments as needed to research discrepancies.
  • Ensure accuracy for quantities reflected in all inventory systems (SAP, Metrc, etc.).
  • Understand receiving, transfer, and sales transactions in SAP, POS, and Metrc.
  • Seek for discrepancies between Company ERP and State reporting platforms. (Items, Locations, Inventory).
  • Responsible for root causing reasons when discrepancies are found.
  • Analyze failures that happen during SAP and State reporting platforms communication and provide guidance for immediate solutions to other departments.
  • Setup and manage new items and SKU’s in cannabis regulatory seed-to-sale systems as needed.
  • Assist with the development of SOPs for inventory control and reconciliation procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Data Analytics, or related field and equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the Cannabis field minimum 3 years.
  • Advanced Excel skills is a must.
  • Extensive Experience with cannabis regulatory seed-to-sale solutions including METRC, Dutchie, BioTrack, etc., a definite plus.
  • SAP/ERP experience a plus.
  • Self-starter; ability to take ownership over processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationships with people all over the country.

 


ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, hum id, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
  • Must be able to travel to site locations nationwide as needed.

 


WORK SCHEDULE
:

  • Up to 45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekend

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
