Our leadership training will include a special presentation by Jane Appleyard Allen, a highly accomplished scientist who most recently collaborated with us on survey research on American beliefs and values on legalization (with findings on the potential of public education as a tool to decolonize US cannabis policy forthcoming!)
Jane Appleyard Allen is an expert on public health, behavioral change, and health equity, specializing in media campaign evaluation and message effects research. Her work focuses on research to assess cannabis beliefs and behaviors in the context of legalization and to inform the development of cannabis policy. She also has conducted research to understand factors that influence smoking, including public health policy and tobacco industry marketing. Currently, she is a senior scientist in the Center for Communication and Media Impact at RTI International.
