Justice Adefunmilola Demi-Ajayi of a Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun state, has sentenced 61-year-old Usman Suleiman to 12 years prison for transporting 28.5 kilograms of cannabis sativa.
Delivering the judgment Tuesday, the judge highlighted Suleiman’s lack of willingness to change, noting that he had previously been convicted of a similar offense by the same court.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), represented by its counsel, Olufemi Ijimakim, had told the court that the man was brought to their office on May 1, 2024.
