I am deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Peter Homberg. Peter was an exceptional leader and a true pioneer in the EU and global cannabis legal communities and across the industry.
Peter and I were partners at Jones Day and Dentons, although he preceded me to Dentons by a few years. At Dentons, he led our EU Cannabis Group with vision and vitality. I am grateful for the many opportunities to work alongside him and to spend time together—in Chicago for meetings, events, and presentations; in Las Vegas for conferences; in Mexico; and most memorably in Berlin, where he welcomed me to the China Club and was, throughout, the most gracious host.
When I picture Peter, I see him at the lectern—commanding, engaged, and authentic—educating an audience eager to learn from his knowledge and wisdom.
My heart goes out to Peter’s family, friends, and colleagues. May he rest in peace.
