AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Clerk is notifying members of proposed amendments to the Adult Use Cannabis Ordinance, in accordance with the 2013 Tribal Procedures Act.

Tribal members are encouraged to review the proposal and submit comments during a 30-day period ending May 9, 2026. The amendments would update the definition of a serious felony and include other technical changes. A summary is included in the publication.

The ordinance was adopted in 2021 and amended in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The current proposal would mark the fifth amendment.
