The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Caserta Company discovered a large quantity of drugs inside a healthcare facility in Caserta.
The officers identified a 53-year-old man of Neapolitan origin, a guest of the facility already known to law enforcement, who was behaving suspiciously and trying to evade the check. During the search, first of the person and then extended to the room used exclusively by the man, small quantities of hashish, a precision scale, and a knife with traces of the substance were found inside the nightstand.
But the most significant discovery came shortly after, when, inside the pillowcase, the Carabinieri found three intact blocks of hashish, each weighing about 100 grams. The quantity, due to its storage method and the presence of tools suitable for dividing it, was considered incompatible with personal use and indicative of intent to distribute. The 53-year-old was arrested. After the formalities, he was placed under house arrest at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
