An arrest of an accused drug dealer this week led to some choice words for the suspect from the Franklin County sheriff.
Shelton Leonard Hunter Jr., 47, of Granville County, was arrested on Thursday after being accused of selling cocaine from a Howard Harris Road home in Franklinton, according to warrants filed by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the warrants, the house is about a half mile from Franklinton Elementary School on Hillsborough Street.
Franklin County Sheriff Kevin White called Hunter “a poison-pusher” who is “as dumb as they come”.
“He made the terrible mistake of selling his deadly poison here in Franklin County, threatening a nearby school and students,” White wrote. “It took us no time at all to track him down and lock him up.
