A Miami University student was arrested after Oxford Police conducted a court-authorized warrant at a house near campus on Friday afternoon.
Investigators said 22-year-old William Esler allegedly had more than 27 grams of cocaine when he was arrested.
“Tough break during finals week, especially if you have a job lined up after,” Molly Stratton said.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the warrant and investigation happened on S. College Avenue.
The arrest was made around 12 p.m. on Friday but was preceded by a monthslong investigation, according to police.
“I definitely didn’t expect to see that when I was driving down the road to take my masters exam today,” Grad Student Madison Slosdier said.
