2026-04-27 | The latest list of new acquisitions by the Federal Court of Justice library (period 2026-04-06 to 2026-04-26) includes several legal and medical publications on the consequences of cannabis partial legalization.
According to the overview, Karl-Heinz Reuband examines in the journal Neue Kriminalpolitik the change in public attitudes toward legalization between 1982 and 2024. A key focus of current literature is also road safety: Thomas Daldrup discusses in the journal Blutalkohol whether the combined use of cannabis and alcohol in road traffic should be prohibited or tolerated, while Stefan W. Tönnes analyzes the scientific specifics of cannabis kinetics and the issue of potential THC back-calculation.
In addition, Moritz Rosenkranz, also in Blutalkohol, examines whether risk perception of driving under the influence of cannabis has changed after partial legalization. From a criminal law perspective, Justine Diebel critically analyzes liability risks for physicians and pharmacists in prescribing and dispensing medical cannabis (“Dealer in White?”) in the Journal for Medical and Health Law. The library has also acquired new editions of standard commentaries by Weber (2025) and Körner (2024), which comprehensively cover the KCanG and MedCanG.
