Notice of emergency rulemaking to adopt regulations allowing modifications of A- and M-designation in response to federal rescheduling of cannabis.
The Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) is providing notice to the public of its intent to revise existing regulations to allow licensees to make modifications to their license designations in order to apply for registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

How to submit a public comment
Comments on this emergency rulemaking action should be submitted directly to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL), with a copy to DCC as specified below, between May 27 and May 31, 2026.
Comments must be submitted within five calendar days from when OAL posts the proposed emergency regulation on their website. The comment must state it is about an emergency rulemaking action currently under OAL review and include the topic, Modifications to A- and M-designation.
