In a statement police said 40 kilograms of cocaine was found at the Jimmys Rock boat ramp at Midge Point, 100 kilometres north of Mackay, about 8am on Saturday.
They said the drugs had likely come from overseas.
Rural fire fighters were called and arrived to find a flat-bed truck, which had a crane mounted on the back, well alight.
The fire was extinguished by around 8.30am.
