Khleang Huot and Penh Phearum, Deputy Governors of Phnom Penh, led the operation in coordination with Phy Sithong, Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, the Phnom Penh Police, the Phnom Penh Military Police, and Chamkar Mon District Governor Keang Lak.
Authorities inspected a condominium on Street 78 in Village 14, Tonle Bassac commune, Chamkar Mon district.
Among the 197 residents found to be legally living in the building, police also discovered three foreigners without passports—one Chinese, one South Korean and one Japanese national—who were taken to the Phnom Penh Police for further procedures.
During the operation, officers found a British national in possession of 131 packages of marijuana weighing approximately 65kg. The suspect was handed over to the Phnom Penh Municipal Police for legal action.
