The Cannabis Control Commission has launched the State’s revised Adult-Use Retail Licensing process. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the Commission’s guidance documents and Frequently Asked Questions before beginning the application process.
Key application dates include:
August 7: The Social Equity Applicant Status Certification Interest Form is now available. Individuals who submit an Interest Form will receive a link to access the Social Equity Applicant Status Certification Portal and complete an application.
September 4: Applicants who submit an Interest Form on or before this day will have until Friday, September 11, 2026 at 5:00 pm EST to complete their SEASC application.
September 11: Deadline to submit a Social Equity Applicant Status Certification application.
August 7 through November 23: The Adult-Use Retail Licensing Portal is open for all applicants to submit Adult-Use Retail License applications.
The Commission will also hold its next public meeting on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Public Utilities Commission, 89 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick.
