Arizona: Rose Law Group names new co-chairman to cannabis law department

The Rose Law Group has named Dan Gauthier as the new co-chair of its cannabis law department.

Rose Law Group has been advising clients on cannabis law for more than 13 years, prior to the introduction of Arizona’s medical marijuana act, Proposition 203, in 2010.

Gauthier has spent his career implementing complicated transactions, a significant portion of which has been related to cannabis law, according to a press release.

Gauthier joins Rose Law Group Partner Adam Trenk as co-chair of cannabis law department.

Trenk has been instrumental in Rose Law Group’s cannabis law department, working on the original implementation of Arizona’s medical marijuana program.

“We are proud to name Dan Gauthier to Co-Chair,” Trenk said in a written statement. “He has a firm grasp on Arizona marijuana legislation and a skill set that will lend itself to helping clients navigate complex regulatory issues and facilitate consolidation in the market. Dan’s legal experience with mergers, buy outs, raising funds, and restructuring are sure to add value and protect our clients’ interests.”

Gauthier is replacing Jonathan Udell as Udell takes a leave of absence to work full-time for a non-profit marijuana advocacy organization.

Rose Law Group’s cannabis law department provides legal advice to large and small businesses as well as entrepreneurs involved in Arizona’s constantly evolving cannabis industry.

“The complexity of cannabis law in Arizona is exacerbated by its constantly evolving rules and regulations,” Gauthier said in a written statement. “I am honored to join the leadership team of a department that is both historic and cutting edge.”
