MADRID – Spanish authorities seized over three tonnes of cocaine aboard a vessel off the Canary Islands, which had departed Gibraltar bound for Morocco before disappearing from tracking systems for over 50 days, in an incident that exposes the dangerous maritime routes used by Moroccan smuggling networks in the international drug trade.
