A 38-year-old Queensland man has faced court in Perth today after being extradited to face charges following the alleged seizure of 145 kilograms of cocaine last year.

Daniel James Henry, from Yeppoon on Queensland’s central coast, is the fifth person to be charged by detectives from Western Australia’s Transnational and Serious Organised Crime Squad.
It was alleged 68kg of cocaine was found during a search of a trailer, which was being towed by a Ford Ranger when it was stopped at WA’s border checkpoint at Eucla on June 9 last year.
A search warrant at an Esperance house on the south coast later that same day allegedly found another 77kg of the drug.
There has been no mention of the estimated street value of the cocaine.
