There’s a lot more detail and background in their article.

That can all be found here at. https://honahlee.com.au/articles/cannabis-clinics-australia/

Also importantly they publish this little aside

Some clinics do have a conflict of interest when it comes to the products they prescribe. Here are some of the clinic conflicts to know about:

  • Cannadoc is owned by Cronos Australia which supplies Adaya products.

  • Cannvalate often prescribes ‘branded’ compounded products.

  • CDA clinic prescribes Burleigh Heads products and often compounds their own ‘branded’ compounded products. CDA and Burleigh Heads are owned by the same parent company.

  • Health104 prescribes mainly Montu (Circle) products.

  • Medicann Health has a relationship with Ananda.

  • Releaf Clinics sells Releaf Products.

  • Tetra Health is owned by THC Global which supplies Canndeo.

  • Most clinics have research partnerships which mean that they will be more likely to prescribe a specific brand of product.

It’s not to say that these products are bad or that these clinics are doing anything wrong. It is, however, important that you know what the relationships are so that you can ask the right questions and confirm that the products are right for you.

Your clinic and doctor should be able to answer all the questions you have about their relationship to the products they’re prescribing and why they’re choosing that specific product. If you get any push back or agitation from a prescriber, you may want to think twice about using that clinic or doctor.
