Changes to Manufacturing License Numbers
Effective today, manufacturing licenses beginning with the prefix CDPH now have the prefix DCC. This ensures that the licenses are identifiable and consistent with the DCC name.
The relabeling only applies to the Department prefix. DCC will not change the numbers used to identify a manufacturing license. For example, license number CDPH-100000 will change to DCC-100000.
Track-and-trace tags beginning with the CDPH prefix will remain valid. Tags ordered after the relabeling will use the DCC prefix.
Licensees should:
- Make changes to packaging, labeling, marketing materials, and internal documents.
- Licensees using third-party software to access Metrc should contact their third-party integrator(s) to ensure their integration won’t be affected.
Effective now:
- DCC has updated license records, certificates, and track-and-trace data to reflect the relabeled license number.
- Licensees must use the relabeled license number when preparing a licensed transfer.
- Licensees will receive a copy of their new license certificate by email and must print and post a physical copy of the updated license certificate at their premises in accordance with California Code of Regulations section 15039.
