Customs officers have seized almost 58kg of marijuana during an operation at Luxembourg Airport’s cargo centre, the public prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday.
The shipment was hidden in the back seats of vehicles which arrived on a cargo shipment from Singapore destined for Milan, the public prosecutor’s office said in a press release, although it did not specify when the seizure took place.
“During the checks, officers inspected several rear seats of vehicles, totalling 235 kilograms,” the public prosecutor’s office said. “Following technical analyses and the opening of the inspected items, it was discovered that narcotics had been carefully concealed inside the seats. The investigation resulted in the seizure of nearly 58 kilograms of marijuana.
