Department of Cannabis Control Provides Notice of Proposed Regulatory Action

Notice of proposed rulemaking to adopt regulations to establish animal cannabis product standards.

The Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) is providing notice to the public of its intent to promulgate regulations to establish standards for cannabis products intended for use on, or consumption by, animals.

Specific changes include:

• Clarifying that animal cannabis products are subject to the same requirements as adult-use cannabis products.
• Limiting animal cannabis products to edible cannabis products, orally consumed concentrates, and topical cannabis products.
• Limiting animal cannabis products to no more than 1 milligram of total THC per package.
