Over 700 pounds of drugs got seized at the 26th annual Gathering of the Juggalos, and that number alone tells you law enforcement was not showing up casually.
The festival had just relocated to Mother Nature’s Riverfront Retreat in Macks Creek, Missouri, after five years in Thornville, Ohio, and cops treated the new venue like a fresh opportunity to come in hard.
Officers from multiple agencies ran coordinated operations from August 16 through 22, with 305 traffic stops and 12 K9 units deployed across the festival grounds.
They were moving before most Juggalos even arrived for the main event, which says a lot about how seriously Missouri law enforcement planned this one out.
The seizure breakdown is wild on its own. Authorities pulled 288.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 242.5 pounds of marijuana, and a spread of harder substances including ketamine, cocaine, fentanyl, DMT powder, and MDMA tabs, plus nearly 30 pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Four people ended up facing serious charges out of the operation. Kevin “Bluntman” Jones was caught holding 128 pounds of weed, 2.5 pounds of mushrooms, and over five thousand dollars in cash, while Dennis Pradham got hit with 93 pounds of marijuana and 124 pounds of mushrooms alongside multiple hard drug charges that push things into federal territory.
