Lauren Carboni has joined Foley Hoag as a partner in the firm’s Health Care Department and will work from its Denver office.
Carboni advises hospitals, physician groups, behavioral health organizations and other health care providers on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse cases and government enforcement actions. Her work includes False Claims Act litigation, internal investigations, regulatory risk assessments, transaction due diligence and administrative appeals.
She also advises businesses in the regulated psychedelics and cannabis industries on licensing, compliance and operations.
“Her roots in the region and expertise in emerging areas of health care law, such as psychedelic medicine and cannabis regulation, will allow us to better serve our clients in Colorado and nationwide,” said Edo Banach, co-chair of Foley Hoag’s Health Care Department.
