Aisyah is a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) who ran in the Riau II electoral district, in 2024 winning 37,331 votes and was appointed as a member of the People’s Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 term.
Late November she gave the following address to the council in which she proposes developing a regulated medical cannabis industry in Aceh that would supply Indonesian patients under a highly regulated programme and she also highlighted cost of production could be as much as 2/3rds less than current Thai costs thus opening up Indonesian medical cannabis exports to Australia, Europe & The Americas
