I remember a retired couple from behind the Gold Coast whose wife struggled to buy a good ounce and she asked me to help. Her husband had Parkinson’s and sat in the car. Somewhere they’d discovered the magic of weed for his condition but he needed strong buds.

VICTORIA
Legalise Cannabis Victoria exposed ALP hypocrisy in parliamentary debate

Legalise Cannabis Victoria MPs David Ettershank and Rachel Payne took the fight for cannabis law reform back to the Victorian Parliament in November, using the Upper House debate to call out Labor’s hypocrisy on the issue.

The debate, held on Wednesday 19 November, put the Allan Government’s inaction under the spotlight. Both MPs said Labor had ignored its own members and party policy commitments by abandoning meaningful reform.

Stand-Alone Legislation for Victoria’s Industrial Hemp Industry unlisted

Legalise Cannabis Victoria recently made a submission to a consultation on stand-alone legislation for Victoria’s industrial hemp industry.

The Victorian Government’s has committed $400,000 to the creation of this legislation in response to the Parliamentary Inquiry into the Industrial Hemp Industry in Victoriawhich we secured.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA
LCWA focuses on THC driving laws unlisted

WA’s major focus right now is still THC driving laws and the work of the Medicinal Cannabis and Safe Driving Working Group. Dr Brian Walker recently questioned the Health Minister directly in Parliament, referencing new peer-reviewed research published in Clinical Toxicology which shows that pupil dilation alone is not a reliable indicator of cannabis impairment.

As a result of this questioning, the Minister has confirmed that the research will now be circulated to the Working Group for consideration. THC policies.

This petition calls on the Queensland Parliament to grant a legal defence for medical cannabis patients who test positive for THC in roadside or workplace tests, as long as they’re not impaired and are taking their medication as prescribed.
