Man Arrested as Authorities Raid Cannabis Cultivation and Sales Operation in Southern Tenerife

Officers from the Civil Guard’s Unit for Fiscal Analysis and Port Border Control in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (UDAIFF), alongside the Customs Surveillance Unit of the Tax Agency, have arrested a man suspected of committing a public health offence following the dismantling of a site where he cultivated, processed, and distributed drugs for sale.

Investigation Background

The investigation commenced in November of the previous year, initiated by prior information coordinated by the Anti-Drug Prosecutor’s Office in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Initial Findings

During the first phase, investigators gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with dismantling the site, seizing various quantities of illegal substances, cash, and tools used in cultivation and processing.

Seized Items

The operation resulted in the confiscation of:

  • 696 marijuana plants (cannabis sativa)
  • 1,033 grams of marijuana buds
  • 606 grams of plants mixed with marijuana buds
  • 1,442 grams of hashish
  • 211 cannabis cigarettes
  • 9 grams of rosin
  • 7 jars containing cannabis syrup or hashish derivatives
  • €1,500 in cash
  • One mobile phone
