A 41-year-old man is facing serious drugs charges after a hydroponic cannabis crop worth more than $1 million was located in a Bass Hill home by NSW Police.
Officers attached to the South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (Bankstown) executed a warrant at a home in Trebartha Street at around 9.30am on Thursday, where they reportedly located 415 cannabis plants inside being grown hydroponically.
“A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he has been charged with cultivate prohibited plant (commercial quantity),” NSW Police said in a statement.
The man has been refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.
Police will allege the plants had an estimated potential street value of $1.2 million.
