Medical Marijuana Bill Passes Florida House of Representatives

The Florida House of Representatives passed a medical marijuana bill on Thursday, that would allow near-death patients to use non-smokable marijuana. The story which appears on The Tampa Tribune’s website, reported that the bill (HB 307) also adds regulations for dispensing organizations, patients and physicians covered by the Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act of 2014 (2014-157). These latter measures are geared to facilitating implementation of the 2014 Act which has been impeded by administrative challenges since the law was enacted. A similar bill is currently before the State’s senate.
