We are looking for an Associate to join our Strategic Investments and Acquisitions team. The position will combine elements of private equity, corporate development, and strategy work.

  • Assist with a multi‐million-dollar capital deployment program to accelerate diversification into new growth areas
  • Help strengthen existing global businesses through acquisitions, investments, and partnerships

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build detailed financial models and presentations for purposes of assessing and valuing investment opportunities (control acquisitions and minority investments)
  • Support team in identifying potential acquisition targets and investable themes
  • Research industry and company trends to inform investment decision making process
  • Take an active role in managing overall acquisition process, including due diligence, and identifying key issues
  • Helping to coordinate with functional internal and external experts (e.g., tax, accounting, legal, vendors, etc.)
  • Prepare Board presentations for assessment of potential investments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of top-tier investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or comparable experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong critical thinking skills; curious and strategic
  • Team player with well‐rounded skill set patience and versatility necessary to flourish in cross‐functional teams ranging from startup to mature company environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills required to represent the company’s interests with internal and external constituencies
  • Deep financial modeling expertise
  • Experience with M&A deal processes and exposure to valuation and due diligence
  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions
  • Ability to apply an analytical approach to assessing situations with limited information
  • Ability to work in a deadline‐driven environment and deliver accurate and thoughtful work under tight timelines
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to draft first versions of presentations to support strategic initiatives with high quality
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Mathematics/Operations preferred but not required. GPA of 3.5 or higher strongly preferred.

LOCATION:

  • As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we anticipate that this hire will commence their employment with us remotely
  • Relocation to North Miami, FL sometime in Q4 2021 will be required
