Minneapolis-based partner Mitchel Chargo will participate in two panels at the Indigenous Cannabis Industry & Policy Summit on November 13, 2025, in Washington, DC.
At 10:05 a.m., he will moderate the panel “Pros & Cons of the Tribal Cannabis Compact: Federal, State, and DEA Licensing Perspectives,” which will examine the complex landscape of tribal cannabis compacts, evaluating their benefits and challenges from federal, state, and law enforcement viewpoints. Panelists will discuss how these compacts influence sovereignty, access, and economic growth.
Later that afternoon, Mitchel will join the panel “The Future of Cannabis in Minnesota,” sharing insights on how legalization and regulation are developing across the state’s tribal nations.
Mitchel currently serves on the Board of the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association, which holds an annual summit uniting tribal leaders, industry innovators, and policy experts to discuss important issues impacting the future of cannabis policy in the United States.
