Police in Agadir seized over four tonnes of hashish on Friday during a major operation at a rural farm near the city of Oulad Teima.
According to a police source, officers from the judicial police department in Agadir arrested a 66-year-old man suspected of being part of an international drug trafficking network.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the country’s intelligence services.
The arrest took place in the rural area of Oulad Krom, on the outskirts of Oulad Teima.
Police discovered 105 packages of hashish weighing a total of 4,328 kilograms (4.3 tonnes) while searching the farm.
