Nevada cannabis board chair, Adriana Guzmán Fralick, enters race for attorney general

The chair of Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board is entering the race for the state’s attorney general.

Adriana Guzmán Fralick confirmed to News 3 that she will run as a Republican to succeed Aaron Ford, who is term-limited.

Guzmán Fralick said her goal is to serve all Nevadans and follow the law.

“It’s time to take politics out of that office and return the focus on operating the most effective and efficient law firm in the state,” she said in a statement. “I know how state government works and how critical this office is to making it work well and together with Governor [Joe] Lombardo we’ll take care of business.”

A private practice attorney based in Reno, Guzmán Fralick was appointed to serve on the cannabis board in 2023. She has held several roles in other state government agencies, including the Commission on Ethics, the Public Utilities Commission, and the Gaming Control Board.
