News & Updates from the CCB June 29, 2026

Here is a brief summary of Board actions:

  • Legislative update: With the final passage of S.278 and S.323, Chair Pepper reviewed recent cannabis legislation. Click here to view the presentation.
  • Product equivalencies: The Board voted to review product equivalencies and will host a working group with interested parties to gather input. Current equivalencies were extended through September 30. The legislature revised the statutory possession limit to 2 ounces, effective July 1, 2026.
  • Product Labeling & Product Registration Guidance: Proposed changes to the guidance were approved by the Board. A markup version of the guidance will be posted to the CCB website to gather comment until the July Board meeting.
  • Retail siting workgroup report: Commissioner Hulburd shared an update on her engagement with stakeholders and workgroups regarding retail siting. The Board will continue hosting additional stakeholder groups to gather further input on siting considerations.
  • Lab Security Policy: The Board approved a new policy under Rule 2.2.22 that outlines and formalizes laboratory security policies.
  • Delta 8/Delta 10 thresholds: The Board adopted lab testing action limits for cannabis products at <3% for Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC.
  • Executive Director’s Report: This month’s report included a summary of public engagement, licensing and compliance data, canopy usage, and a summary of 4/20 sales data.
  • Medical Program Data: Director of Licensing Melissa Andersen presented data from June 2025 through June 2026 on healthcare professionals and qualifying diagnoses.

CCB office notice: 7/2 & 7/3

Please be aware that the CCB office will be closed for in-person business on Thursday, July 2 due to building maintenance. CCB staff will be working remotely that day. Additionally, State offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.
