Ohio: Woman accused of bringing cannabis-laced candy to work has trial set for Dec. 16

A Mansfield woman accused of bringing candy laced with marijuana to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital last year for her coworkers is scheduled for a jury trial Dec. 16 in Mansfield Municipal Court.

The woman is charged with adulterating of or furnishing food or confection, a misdemeanor, according to Mansfield police and court records.

According to the Mansfield police report, an officer contacted the victim in reference to candy that was laced with marijuana. The victim said another employee brought candy in to share with other employees and told an officer that she had a couple bites of the candy then felt weird.
