Press Release: CRA Files New Formal Complaint Against New Buffalo-Based Weber Family Ventures, LLC dba The Plug – New Buffalo

August 19, 2026 – The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) has filed a new formal complaint against the adult-use license of Weber Family Ventures, LLC dba The Plug – New Buffalo (License No. AU-R-001312) located at 19015 US-12, New Buffalo, Michigan 49117.

“…CRA staff asked to view Respondent’s video surveillance recordings. DW explained that the surveillance system is password protected and that only Respondent’s general manager, MK, could access the recordings. CRA staff then contacted MK via telephone and asked him to provide access to the surveillance system recordings. MK refused to provide the information…”

The CRA is authorized under the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act (MRTMA) to investigate alleged violations of the respective acts and the administrative rules promulgated thereunder, take disciplinary action to prevent such violations, and impose fines and other sanctions against applicants and licensees that violate the MRTMA or the corresponding administrative rules.

The CRA gives notice of its intent to impose fines and/or other sanctions against the license of Weber Family Ventures, LLC dba The Plug – New Buffalo, which may include the suspension, revocation, restriction, and/or refusal to renew the license of Weber Family Ventures, LLC dba The Plug – New Buffalo.

August 19, 2026 – The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) has filed a new formal complaint against the adult-use license of Fire Farm, LLC dba Crave Cannabis (License No. AU-R-000656) located at 1100 S. Monroe St., Monroe, Michigan, 48161.

“…At 3:57 p.m., three individuals exit the back receiving area of the business with six boxes of blue Metrc tagged marijuana packages and one black bag with unknown contents. No observation of a receipt or any cash/money exchange was made…”
