SAN DIEGO, Jan. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA), the first publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, today announced the historic registration of its Real Scientific Hemp Oil-X™ (RSHO-X™) and RSHO™-Blue Label products as registered medicines by Paraguay’s national health regulation organization (Dirección Nacional de Vigilancia Sanitaria).

Paraguay’s official registration of Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s CBD hemp oil products marks the first country that has registered and approved the Company’s products as medicinal products. Currently, Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s CBD hemp oil products have been used in Paraguay with medical indications ranging from cancer, pain, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and various other neurological diseases.
Prior to becoming registered as official medicines, in May of 2016, Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ became the first medical cannabis product approved and imported for use in Paraguay for compassionate use with a prescription and government permission. This event marked the third time in a little over a year that RSHO™ was the first cannabis product approved in a Latin American country, following the lead of Brazil and Mexico.
