Here at Cannabis Law Report we concur with the direct action route BFASA are taking we just wish we could see more of it around the world
Here’s their press release
BFASA is confident that this March will have a bigger Impact than the last!
MESSAGE FROM DR LENNOX XOLILE MTSHAGI – PRESIDENT OF BFASA
OUR TIME HAS COME.
Save the date of the 19th October 2021 and join us in a massive protest march on the offices of SAHPRA.
SAHPRA has denied us access to the cannabis economy for too long, while making it easy for foreigners and white people to make money from our traditional herb. This has been achieved by ongoing and blatant corruption on the part of the Board and the Executive of SAHPRA who claim that they have been acting under the instructions of Dr. Zweli Mkhize (when he was the Minister of Health). The husband of the Chairperson of SAHPRA (Prof Helen Rees) is associated with Big Pharma (Aspen) and allows them to influence matters to the detriment of our people. The Board turns a blind eye to all of these matters and must be held accountable.
The SAHPRA CEO has stated publicly that she doesn’t take black people seriously. No wonder we have no results to show after all this time.
- SAHPRA MUST FALL
- THE SAHPRA BOARD MUST FALL
- PROF HELEN REES (SAHPRA CHAIRPERSON) MUST FALL
- DR BOITUMELO SEMETE-MAKOKOTELA (SAHPRS CEO) MUST FALL
BFASA is demanding that the following persons be present to accept our memorandum of demands at the end of the march:
Minister of Health Joe Phaahla
Advocate Andy Mothibi (SIU)
Advocate Peter Nhotso
Mr Tshilidzi Bethuel Munyai
LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD
Best regards
Dr. Lennox Xolile Mtshagi
National President of the Black Farmers Association of South Africa
