The Drafting Committee on Human Rights and Drug Policies (DH-PDA) holds its third meeting in Strasbourg

The Drafting Committee on Human Rights and Drug Policies (DH-PDA) convened for its third meeting on 19-20 May 2026 in Strasbourg, France.

Over the course of two productive days, Committee members advanced the revision of the draft Recommendation on Human Rights and Drug Policies, carefully considering feedback and exploring key themes. They also began work on the accompanying explanatory report and heard updates on related initiatives, such as efforts to address risks linked to online and digital addictions and organised crime in drug trafficking.

The next session is proposed for October 2026 in Paris, France, where the Committee will continue shaping this important work on the future Council of Europe Recommendation.
