The owner of a Christchurch home with a big cannabis grow tent claimed she had never been inside it, while her tenant said the set-up was for growing tomatoes.
Despite their initial excuses, Devon Elizabeth Boyd and Jamie Te Ahu Scarlett admitted cultivating cannabis.
The pair were caught green-handed on December 10, 2024 when police searched Boyd’s house in Somerfield, which is about 500 metres from a school.
