UK: Former military commando & Afghan veteran, Farard Darver, launches CBD line selling @ Holland & Barrett

A former commando is making waves with a CBD-based product, which is now being sold through a major national retailer.

Farard Darver, who served in Afghanistan and later left the military, developed the HEMPE CBD gel after finding it was the only remedy that eased his muscle and joint pain.

Now living in Lymington, Mr Darver runs his business Healthcare International Research from Wimborne, and has secured a listing with high street giant Holland and Barrett.

Mr Darver said: “I created the company just six years ago so for our brand to be sold online through such a well-known retailer is superb.

“I am utterly convinced our product HEMPE is the best out there and recently we became the first gel containing CBD to gain NSF Certified for Sport certification – enabling professional athletes and the military to safely use it.

“Holland and Barrett is one of the most trusted names in the sector and to be associated with it helps give us legitimacy.”

The HEMPE gel has already been picked up by another major retailer, Boots, and Mr Darver hopes the latest partnership will further raise the brand’s profile.

He believes that CBD products still face stigma due to their origins.

He said: “CBD does have a perception issue due to its derivation from the hemp plant, but our gels contain the best ingredients found in nature for relief.

“These include clove leaf, clove oil, cypress oil, laurel leaf oil, menthol, eucalyptus, wild mint, hemp seed oil, peppermint, vitamin E, lavender, pinus sylvestris tig leaf, laurus nobilis leaf and one of these fantastic natural ingredients happens to be CBD which is entirely safe to use.”
