TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Georgia deputies announced the confiscation of nearly 2,000 pounds of marijuana that they said was headed to Florida and Georgia.
According to the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, deputies seized 1,800 pounds of marijuana as the truck crossed its jurisdiction on Monday.
Deputies said the shipment originated in Sacramento, California. Half was meant to be delivered to Atlanta, and the other half was headed to Orlando.
Video released by the sheriff’s office showed law enforcement officers dumping plastic bags full of marijuana into a large pile.
The sheriff’s office did not release any information regarding potential suspects or arrests.
