Associate Enforcement Counsel

The Associate Enforcement Counsel, under the direction of the Enforcement Counsel, represents the Commission in adjudicatory proceedings under M.G.L. c. 30A alleging violations of Commission laws and in informal proceedings relative to suitability disputes.  The Associate Enforcement Counsel provides legal support to Enforcement Counsel in advising the agency on all enforcement-related matters.

Associate General Counsel

The Associate General Counsel, under the direction of the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, will support the Commission’s mission and its staff, and will address and resolve legal matters in settled and evolving areas of the law. Deputy General Counsel

Enforcement Paralegal

The Paralegal, under the direction of the Enforcement Counsel, will support the work of the attorneys in the Investigations and Enforcement department. The Paralegal will support the Enforcement Counsel team by managing legal responsibilities in a variety of areas, including conducting legal research, assessing and responding to legal inquiries, issuing legal notices, determinations, and requests, managing attorney files and records, and otherwise facilitating the provision of quality legal services by Enforcement Counsel staff.

Investigator

The Cannabis Control Commission Investigator conducts inspections and investigations of licensed marijuana establishments in the Commonwealth to ensure understanding and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. A significant component of this position includes visiting marijuana establishments across the Commonwealth and completing regulatory compliance inspections/audits targeting operational requirements, and may include specific cultivation product manufacturing and, retail requirements as pertains to the license type, as well as facility management requirements.

Legal Assistant

Under the direction of the General Counsel and other members of the Legal Department, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing routine legal matters.  The Legal Assistant will perform a variety of legal tasks in support of the Commission’s mission, including, but not limited to, the maintenance of systems for managing legal materials, preparation of the minutes of public meetings, and management of requests for public records.

Licensing Analyst

The Licensing Analyst, under the direction of the Director of Licensing, will assist in evaluating, analyzing, auditing, and reporting on information related to the licensure of Marijuana Establishments (“ME”) and Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (“MTC”), registration of establishment employees (“agents”), and related duties performed by staff. Request for Responses (RFR): Healthcare Study

Quote/bid response deadline: June 1, 2023

The Commission seeks to contract with a Vendor that would procure a research study on hospitalizations and use of other healthcare services related to marijuana use. The contracted researchers would draft the study, and obtain, procure, categorize, and analyze Center for Health Information (CHIA), Poison Control, and other data to complete a two-year study.
