Bolzano: Italian citizen resident in Germany arrested crosses the border with over 100 kilos of hashish

The man, a 55-year-old Italian citizen with no criminal record, who had been resident in Germany for some time, was unable, at that point, to conceal his surprise and, in an attempt to escape possible control, despite the fact that he was now lined up in a long queue of means, risked a U-turn.

The maneuver did not go unnoticed in the eyes of the Financiers of the Merano Company and the Silandro Tenenza, who reached the car and asked the driver to pull over.

The first explanations provided did nothing but fuel the military’s suspicions; in a mixture of German and Sicilian dialect, the driver said he realized he had taken the wrong road, only to correct this statement when the satellite navigator on his mobile phone announced loudly that in a few minutes he would reach the desired destination.

At that point, he said he was a tourist, eager to visit Lake Resia and to convince the Fiamme Gialle he showed the destination point indicated by the navigator. But the military was not content to take note of this justification and analyzed the route set, discovering that the journey had been particularly troubled. Having left a place near Lake Constance the day before, the car had entered Swiss territory and, near the border with Italian territory, the driver had reversed course, returning to Germany and, from there, to Austria , and then continue towards the Resia pass. The financiers believed that that journey had been determined by uncertainty about the entry point to choose to enter Italy and this, evidently, because the man had something to hide. With these assumptions, all that remained was to call in the dog unit.
