The US Sentencing Commission releases data on cannabis trafficker arrests

Lex writes…It’s unsurprising to note that only 3% of all US drug trafficking cases involved cannabis. It’s just not a focus, but that still means 561 cases last year, a majority of them Hispanic or Black. 65% had little to no prior criminal history. The amount involved was usually between 100 to 400 kilograms & the average sentence was 37 months. But 36 of those cannabis-trafficking individuals got over 10 years.
