Ireland: Man held after cannabis worth €1.63m seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested after drugs worth €1.63m were seized in Dublin yesterday.

Revenue officers seized 155kg of cannabis resin and 35kg of herbal cannabis after a vehicle was stopped and searched in the Clondalkin area as part of an intelligence-led operation.

The joint operation was carried out by Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure and is being held at Ronanstown Garda Station.
