Ammon News – Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel raided three locations in various parts of the Kingdom and seized 62 bags (palm-sized sheets) of hashish and other contraband.
In the Mafraq Governorate, AND agents were tipped off about a man who had a large quantity of hashish and crystal meth in his possession, and was trying to promote and sell it inside the Kingdom. After gathering information, the officers moved into a tent where he was hiding and found 27 bags of hashish and a firearm.
During a raid of a location in Aqaba, anti-drug agents and police apprehended a man and seized 16 bags of hashish as well as other banned medical substances and a firearm.
In northern Amman, police zeroed in on a man’s whereabouts and found 19 bags of hashish and Captagon drug pills that were ready for sale.
All three smugglers were arrested and referred to the State Security Court’s prosecutor for legal action, according to the Public Security Directorate’s media spokesperson.
