Twitter has had a field day with the Metropolitan Police.
On Saturday (May 22) the Met Police’s Enfield account uploaded a picture of some of the successes from stop and searches over the weekend.
The tweet read: “#OpBoxster Three positive stop and searches tonight, officers will continue to target individuals involved in drugs, who are causing issues in the local community.”
A picture was uploaded as part of the tweet which showed officers had found two cannabis joints, as well as a small bag of cannabis.
The tweet has been retweeted more than 2,000 times and nearly 700 people have taken to the comments.

Many social media users seemed to find the picture funny, although some went further and called the post “embarrassing”.
One said: “Lol. This is embarrassing and a complete waste of tax payer’s money. Is taking a couple of joints away from some people looking to enjoy a harmless bit of marijuana in their own home rather than go out and get wasted in the pub really supposed to make me feel safer?”
Another wrote: “Oh boy. Great job. Great use of time and resources. When people complain about police spending too much time and money on nonsense with no relation to violence prevention, I’ll be thankful I saved this tweet to show them how wrong they are. Bravo.”
