UK: Debris from cannabis farm found fly-tipped in country lane hedges

A police officer out on patrol in rural Warwickshire discovered a dozen black bin bags fly-tipped in hedges on a country lane this weekend. Upon closer inspection, the officer realised the bags were full of “equipment and debris from a average-sized cannabis cultivation”.

The discovery occurred in Hunningham, South Warwickshire. Officers took to social media to share details of the discovery alongside a photo of the discarded bags.

The post on Kenilworth and Warwick’s Rural Police page read: “Whilst PCSO Sharron Underwood was out on patrol this afternoon a load of fly tipping was found in a hedgerow in Hunningham. The bags consisted of equipment and debris from an average-sized cannabis cultivation. No trace of evidence was found of the person’s details or address it had originated from unfortunately.

“We will be patrolling hotspot areas where there has been frequent fly tipping. This location in between Hunningham and Offchurch will be one of them. If anybody witnesses this type of offence then please obtain the registration plate and report it to Warwick District Council online with details of time and date also.”
