Orange County, California is talking Weed
The Association for Corporate Growth held an Orange County Academy session on Cannabis at the law firm Knobbe Martens. I attended and it was super interesting. The panel discussed how the cannabis business market has changed since 2020 at this very first in person event after remote only webinars. The panel included Knobbe partner Jonathan Menkes, Cannabis insurer Jeff Kleid at Elite Risk Insurance, and Yelena Katchko. Yelena was very informed and provided tons of insight to the attendees. California is complicated and new bills are working to make the legal market more competitive with the illegal market. Cities are a key driver to welcoming dispensaries with low taxes and open arms. Look OC is sleepy, and this event is an amazing sign!
