Is Cannafarm Originating out of San Francisco or the UK ? The Next Juicy Fields?

Just in case you were thinking this was a good idea we have been sent a couple of missives saying that Cannafarm could well be the next Juicy Fields by people whose job is to smell these things out

Approach with care and we will let you know if we get any nasty cease & desists!

What we’ve been told is the following

When researching it, Crunchbase links to large investment groups(property and transportation) from Australia to it. GPT and San Franciso. We have contacted them to confirm this link. They gave Cannafarm 200million dollars

Our source has updated us with the following information

Cannafarm Ltd claims to be an international company that allows retail investors to invest in the production of medical cannabis, and further has been in operations since 2018. They also claim to have raised over $215 million dollars during this period of time.

Company Claims

The company, listed in the UK, claims to offer a “Daily Percentage” of 0.5% returns from a minimum investment of $50 to a 3% daily percentage with a deposit of $10,000 or higher.

Here is what checks out

They are registered in the British Companies Register Database.

Here is what doesn’t
  1. The phone number on the website does not even pick up. We tried calling several times but never connected.

  1. The incorporation date is suspicious. According to Crunchbase, the company was incorporated only last year, in 2022. However in what is clearly a sponsored article on The Coin Republic website, about the opportunities for investment in the world of crypto, the company claims it has been in business since 2018. This is also a claim that is repeated on the website

  1. The “Investment Announcement” about supposedly “Series B” funding, as listed in Crunchbase is June 2, 2020, which lines up with neither previous claim. Large investors do not give Series B level funding to unincorporated companies to manage.

  1. False claims about innovative technology that sound dodgy. For example, the claim is that today, the company has its “own automated plantations in nine countries” and “growing technology” that supposedly allows harvests every 35 days. This too is a red flag.

  1. The only way to invest is via cryptocurrency.

  1. The referral program offering 5% of every deposit. This kind of marketing is a sure sign that this is a scam. Legitimate investment schemes do not operate this way.

  1. Multiple typos on the website

  1. False claims about company reputation. Cannafarm is certainly not “one of the leading companies in the production of medical cannabis.”

Other Red Flags
  1. On Crunchbase, there is a list of associated staff. Worryingly, however, some of the same people, albeit under different names, are cross listed in Linked In, but associated with the British company.

  1. The “minimum investment” is ridiculously low (and exactly the same as Juicy Fields). So is the promise of a stable and high passive income.

  1. There are exactly three “investor reviews,” and all of them mean absolutely nothing.

  1. Three other supposedly “associated” entities – The Nature Conservancy, the World Medical Association, and a group with a mysterious logo and referred to only by the initials WHPHA. The only group that comes up with that name on a quick internet search is the Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority. None of the obvious to identify organizations invest in the cannabis industry or endorse investments in cryptocurrency.

Who are the current “investors?”

According to Crunchbase, however, the company has raised total funding of $200 million from two investors, GPT, an Australian asset and property management firm in Sydney, and Prologis, a large owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, logistics and supply chains based out of San Francisco but with offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, and Amsterdam.

We contacted both firms for comment about their “investment” and association with Cannafarm.

This is what Cannafarm say on their website

https://cannafarm.ltd/about

Cannafarm Investment LTD — an International company that allows you to invest int the production of medicinal cannabis.

5 years of successful work — investment capital over

$ 215 000 000

We produce medicinal cannabis for pharmaceutical companies. In 2020, we developed a cultivation technology that allows us to harvest crops every 35 days. In early 2021, the company’s management made the decision to create an investment proposal based on this technology. In 2022, Cannafarm Investment LTD was established, introducing its cultivation technology and investment proposal to the general public.

We also note they are operating a UK telephone number

Unsurprisingly there’s lots of cheery positive news on the their twitter / X

No contract⁉️

I ain’t diggin’ the c rypto-only payment deal! Miss them bank transfers. Threw in 5K, and gotta admit, nothin’ sketchy yet – company deliverin’ on payments. Need me a contract though, ’cause I wanna throw in more, but I’m gettin’ jittery. Yo, Canna, why you makin’ contracts just for the big shots droppin’ 100K or more? Sort this out, please.

The best support in the world

The best support in the world! They helped me with everything, from registration to making a deposit. They guided me through all my questions and cleared up all my doubts. They even helped me figure out which exchange would be more convenient to use and which cryptocurrency to deposit. Not a single one of my questions was left unanswered! It’s almost been a month since I made my first deposit, and I’m absolutely thrilled!

They don’t have info on minimum…

They don’t have info on minimum dividend withdrawals. The $5 minimum is a bit of a hassle, so I’m giving you a 4. Had to invest more to test withdrawals before hitting $5. Contacted support, they said it’s because the company covers all gas transaction costs. Sorry, but why should I care? Put this info on the site! One downside – no info on minimum withdrawals. Support’s responsive, payouts are good, thanks.
