Hong Kong: Man arrested in HK$8.8m cocaine bust in Kwai Chung

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in Kwai Chung on Monday during a drug bust in which police seized about HK$8.8 million worth of cocaine.

The arrest came as officers from police’s Narcotics Bureau mounted the operation on Monday afternoon and raided an industrial building unit on Wo Yi Hop Road.

During the operation, police seized about 8 kg of cocaine worth HK$8.8 million and arrested a 21-year-old local man.

He has been charged with a count of trafficking in dangerous drugs and will appear in West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts today (Wed).
